Today we celebrate the Baptism of our Lord. At the time of
baptism, Jesus hears a voice from above,” You are my son, my beloved one with
whom I am well pleased.” This voice is a divine confirmation of Jesus’
divinity.
Similarly in Baptism we become members of Gods family. An
intimate relationship is established with the Holy Trinity first manifested at
Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan
and in us by the sign of the Cross imposed on our forehead at our baptism.
